Filip Glogoški’s design will be used to promote World Space Week.

Even NASA knows who Filip Glogoški from Osijek is. He is the author of the best poster promoting the World Space Week. This year’s topic is Remote Sensing, which includes observation of Earth from satellites, reports dnevnik.hr on October 4, 2016.

Filip is a student of fourth grade at the School of Art and Design in Osijek. He won the first place for his design of the poster which will be used to promote the World Space Week. About 100,000 posters with his name will be distributed around the world.

The young student from Osijek has invested a lot of effort and many sleepless nights in this project. “Communication was quite a large problem because we live on the opposite sides of the planet, so when we are awake, other people are sleeping”, said Filip.

Everything had to be agreed to the smallest detail due to extremely strict criteria. “Parts of the satellite had to be different, for example, capsules could not look similar to solar panels. Also, one type has to be American, the other Russian or Chinese, because it is a poster that is being distributed globally”, explained Filip.

His happiness is shared by everybody in his school. “This poster will definitely go around the world and will forever remain in history as the reminder of this event in 2016”, said Ina Marić, the principal of the School of Art and Design in Osijek. “This is a great success for Filip, and it has done a lot to promote the whole school”, said Ivan, one of the students at the school.

The 18-year-old designer is very versatile. He has been a member of the Osijek Aero Club for six years and he has so far received more than 80 awards. “He is a top plane modeller and has even begun working as a mentor”, said Antun Šikić from the Osijek Aero Club. “There are a lot of similarities. One of the most important features is the meticulousness which is needed in both jobs”, said Filip.

There is no doubt that, after he graduates from the school, there will be many projects waiting for him, especially since he is ready to launch some new ideas as well.
