New delivery service available in Croatian cities.

At more than 50 locations in Croatia, Tisak offers a new and innovative logistics and delivery service – Paketomat. The investment in the new service is worth 10 million kuna, reports Poslovni.hr on April 14, 2016.

“The Paketomat service is further enhanced with cooperation with the new online shop Abrakadabra as a strategic partner, where buyers of top domestic and international brands have the option of choosing an innovative, simple and affordable delivery service through the Paketomat system at any time of day”, said Hrvoje Kraljević, general manager of Tisak.

Paketomat kiosks are places for delivery when purchasing over the Internet, but also, a place where you can send and receive regular personal packages. The kiosks are located in all major Croatian cities, such as Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, Dubrovnik, Šibenik, Zadar, Karlovac and others.

Sending and receiving packages is possible within only 7 seconds – the user receives a text message or an e-mail with a unique PIN and QR code for opening the compartment. They can take their shipment at any time by scanning the QR code or entering the PIN code on the screen of a Paketomat kiosk.

Sending shipments through Paketomat is also very easy, by online booking and payment on the www.paketomat.hr web page, after which the user receives a text message or an e-mail notification with required code to open the corresponding compartment on the kiosk of their choice.

The price for sending a package is 15 kuna, which is one of the cheapest delivery options for packages, according to the company. “In 2015, Tisak made significant investments in computerization and improvement of technical and design solutions that are the basis of the service. We introduced a notification via text messages, enhanced the track&trace system for tracking packages, and launched a new web page through which users can more easily and quickly create their orders”, said Darko Gašpar, director of courier services at Tisak.

Tisak is the leading national distributor of newspapers, magazines and tobacco products and the leading retail kiosk chain with nearly 1,200 outlets across Croatia. So far, it has successfully introduced several financial services at its kiosks (bills payment, currency exchange services, Moneygram, and others), and in 2015 it invested further 25 million kuna in increasing the safety of conducting financial transactions at points of sale, which created the preconditions for further growth and development of this business segment.
