Bojan Bogdanović Closes the NBA Season in Style; Questions Raised About Croatian National Team

Bogdanović finished the season by equalizing one more record set by his idol, the late Dražen Petrović.

NBA regular season rounded up last night on April 13, 2016, and Croatian star, Bojan Bogdanović scored 29 points in the Net’s home court loss to the Raptors. Bogdanović scored 29 points in the match, sinking seven three-point shots in the game.

This achievement got him to the number of 220 three-point shots made for the Nets, the number which Dražen Petrović scored for the same team. Bojan Bogdanović had a good season behind him, proving himself as a leader of the Croatian team for upcoming Olympic qualification tournament.

There is news about Croatian national team, and unfortunately, they are not good; coach Petrović has announced that Marko Popović, an ex-national team captain has turned down his invitation to come back to the team. There is also the unconfirmed story published by the Israeli basketball pundit, David Pick, about Ante Tomić’s reluctance to play for Croatia this summer; coach Petrović is yet to address the matter.

In other news from the NBA, it is worth mentioning that the Golden State Warriors have broken Toni Kukoč’s Chicago Bulls record season, getting to 73 wins in one season. Also, one of the best basketball players in last two decades, Kobe Bryant, played his farewell match in Los Angeles, scoring 60 points in the last game of his career.
