The government doing everything in its power to save him
According to the press statement just released by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, minister Vesna Pusić is travelling to Cairo tomorrow together with Nataša Salopek whose husband Tomislav was captured by the ISIS militant group.
„ First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić is in constant contact with her Egyptian colleague and in accordance with their joint agreement and on his recommendation she will go to Cairo tomorrow. The minister is also in contact with Tomislav Salopek’s family“ the statement reads.
The Croatian government confirmed that they are doing everything in their power to save Tomislav Salopek, however, they will not share any more information on tomorrow’s trip. The government and President Grabar Kitarović have reached a consensus on minimising all press communication in this extremely sensitive matter.
