As we have learned, Bago was found dead early this morning in Martićeva street in Zagreb. So far, there is no official information about the cause of death.

“Mislav left an indelible mark on Croatian journalism, but also on our newsroom. He was a favorite colleague and editor, always ready to help. We all learned a lot from Mislav and admired his passion for work, always with a new idea, always one step ahead. His premature departure is a great loss for all of us,” said Nova TV News Program Director Ksenija Kardum.

He started his career at HRT

Bago started his career as a journalist/researcher at HRT in the TV Parliament newsroom. After that, he started working on contributions for newsrooms and religious programs. At the same time, he followed party life and the Croatian Parliament.

He specialised in internal politics for the work of the government and the Croatian Parliament. Since 1995, he had participated in the creation of all election shows and actively monitors all processes related to the elections, according to Nova TV.

Bago was also the editor of the show Otvoreno from 2006 to 2008, and a year later he became an editor and journalist at Nova TV, where he has been working for the last 13 years.

He has won a number of awards for his work. He received the Marija Jurić Zagorka HND award in 1998 for the best reportage in 2003 and 2006 for the best interview, and the Journalist of the Year award in 2006 for a series of interviews with former prime ministers Ivo Sanader and Ivica Račan.
