Ivica Todorić Becomes YouTuber

Lauren Simmonds

Yeah, you read that right. No, it isn’t a joke.

Ivica Todorić, the enigma, the phenomenon, the would-be destroyer of economies, it almost sounds like an impressive(ly bad) CV or a comic book character. Alas, we live in Croatia and reality and fantasy can often become somewhat skewed.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Todorić, now living in London, had voiced his general dissatisfaction with his now infamous blog, the platform he used to criticise all and sundry and their mothers, claim Plenković gave him chocolate in the middle of the night, accuse Dalić of blackmailing him with emails during the early hours of the morning, accuse Agrokor’s current management of continual wrongdoing and even claim that Ante Ramljak, Agrokor’s government appointed extraordinary commissioner, was using Agrokor money to pay his ex-wife off. You get the gist, I’m sure.

In short, we’ve translated most of Todorić’s accusatory blog posts here at TCN, and although they’re rather astounding, it can be understood why the ex Agrokor boss feels the need to move onto pastures new (technologically that is, because the tag he’s been fitted with in London sort of prevents him doing so physically), and take the next step in communicating with the misguided masses, by beginning nothing less, than a YouTube channel.

As Dnevnik writes on the 31st of January, 2018, Agrokor’s now dethroned former ”gazda” will launch his YouTube channel at 14:30 today. Yes, move aside beauty gurus and tutorials about how to glue completely impractical fake nails onto your fingers, Todorić is in town.

Going back to what I mentioned earlier, Todorić did state that he was growing tired of his blog, feeling that it wasn’t reaching a wide enough audience or doing the job of communicating properly. Many assumed that this meant he was going to push for a big interview with someone, and answer the most pressing of questions that have been in the forefront of everyone’s minds since this entire saga began last year. Little did us mere mortals know, that Todorić was planning on becoming a YouTuber, addressing us with a form as close to his physical presence as we could possibly get, as opposed to penning accusations on the cold, hard surface of… well, a blog.

If you’d like to subscribe to Ivica Todorić and no doubt find out who else is lying, stealing money from Agrokor, or sending threatening emails that nobody has ever found, you can click here.

Stay tuned for the first broadcast at 14:30!
