ZAGREB, January 18, 2018 – Prime Minister Andrej Plenković received the newly-appointed US Ambassador, W. Robert Kohorst on Thursday, a government press release said.
The meeting focused on bilateral and political relations, which were assessed as very good, as well as on possibilities of intensifying economic cooperation and on the visa regime.
Plenković emphasised the friendship and partnership between Croatia and the United States.
Croatia and the US are partners in NATO, and the meeting was an opportunity for the two countries to express their joint support for the southeastern European countries on their path to NATO membership.
Plenković also spoke of Croatia’s support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in its reform and integration processes and emphasised the importance of ensuring equal status for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of the three constituent peoples in that country.
