Todorić: Ante Ramljak’s Charges Against Me Have Nothing To Do With Reality

Lauren Simmonds

According to Agrokor’s ex boss, the government appointed extraordinary commissioner’s accusations don’t hold water…

Ivica Todorić writes a new blog post on the 5th of December, 2017, this time rebuting Ante Ramljak’s claims about him having illegally transferred billions from Agrokor into personal bank accounts.

As usual, we bring you the former Agrokor majority owner’s latest blog post translated into English in full below:

”In regard to the charges Ante Ramljak has filed in the criminal charge against me, stating that me and my family members unlawfully transferred billions into my accounts, I declare that they’re completely inventive and tendentious constructions that have nothing to do with reality. This statement is easily verifiable by a simple insight into the real transactions because I didn’t misappropriate one single kuna from Agrokor and its affiliated companies.

The aforementioned criminal charge was filed on the 10th of October, 2017, and parts of it were deliberately released to the public as a result of the concealment of the criminal conduct of the group of people in company of the person who filed that criminal charge, Ante Ramljak, with the intention of eliminating me from Agrokor’s ownership structure so the conditions for enormous, unlawful ”earnings” could be created.

They did so by writing and ensuring the adoption of Lex Agrokor (law), a law that was unconstitutional and whose application jeopardised the survival of Agrokor and its affiliated companies. Moreover, Ante Ramljak and the criminal group engaged under the guise of the “rescue” of that company are the main drivers of that law.

There is no trace of the phantom billions we’ve allegedly misappropriated, and Ramljak’s criminal charge is completely meaningless and serves solely for the creation of a false public opinion about some alleged crime. In addition to the ownership of a quarter of a property in which I live, as well as some land, mostly for agricultural purposes, I’ve got no other property, as can be seen from the ruling of the Zagreb County Court on a temporary measure prohibiting the disposal of my property.

In order to protect my rights, I’ve submitted a proposal to review the consent of Lex Agrokor in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, as well as criminal charges against official and responsible persons belonging to the government and to Agrokor (in reference to those involved in Agrokor’s current extraordinary administration team, headed by Ante Ramljak).”
