ZAGREB, April 9, 2018 – The Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ), which collects and analyses data on drinking water safety in the whole country, on Monday informed the public that drinking water in the public supply system in Slavonski Brod was again safe for human consumption in that eastern town.
Taking into consideration the results of the monitoring of drinking water in Slavonski Brod in the last seven days, the Institute on Monday concluded that water supplies provided by the Slavonski Brod public utilities company are now safe for human consumption and can be used for drinking, cooking and other household needs.
The provision of drinking water was disrupted on 31 March when the local water well was polluted with hydrocarbons.
