November the 4th, 2026 – Gorgeous Pula has been ranked among the top 10 most affordable global air destinations.
When planning their trips, people are increasingly guided by expected changes in transport costs, and not only by accommodation and other services. Marin Penavic reports for Poslovni that the Istrian coastal city of Pula has found itself among the ten most affordable world tourist destinations for 2027, according to the ranking published by the wildly popular flight search engine Skyscanner.
pula took seventh place

The Croatian city took seventh place, and one of the key reasons highlighted is the expected drop in air ticket prices. According to Skyscanner’s estimates, the average price of flights to Pula should be around 20 percent lower than this year. In first place on the list is Bilbao in Spain, where the largest drop in air ticket prices is expected – as much as 66 percent compared to 2026. It is followed by Polish Wroclaw with an estimated cheapening of 47 percent, while French Bordeaux is in third place, with flight prices that should be 34 percent lower.
In addition to Pula, among the ten destinations that could be particularly interesting to travellers in 2027 due to more affordable air tickets are also Zurich, Ancona, Rhodes, Carcassonne, Fez and Krabi. Skyscanner’s list thus suggests that the price of transport could play an important role in the choice of destinations during the coming year. Lower flight prices could boost demand for cities that have so far been less accessible or more expensive to visit, and among them is Pula.
pula’s competitiveness

The inclusion of Pula among the ten most affordable destinations is particularly interesting for Croatian tourism, since accessibility by air directly affects the international competitiveness of the destination. At the same time, Skyscanner’s findings show how travellers, when planning their trips, can increasingly be guided by expected changes in transport costs, and not only by the prices of accommodation and other services at the destination.
