ZAGREB, August 6, 2018 – A court in Belgrade set a 30-day detention against 13 Croatian football fans who are suspected of robbing a gas station near Belgrade, according to the media in Belgrade.
The news about the detention came only 24 hours after the Misdemeanor Court in Belgrade sentenced 14 of the 27 arrested Hajduk Split supporters to 15 days in prison for the same crime.
The 13 men against whom detention was set on Sunday were acquitted by the Misdemeanor Court in Belgrade on Saturday.
Local media also carried pictures showing the fan group’s name, Torcida, written on a gas station wall along with a “U” sign associated with Croatia’s World War II Ustasha pro-Nazi fighters.
