Croatian Handball: Coach Červar Announces 21 Players for Upcoming Representative Matches

Who’s ready for some Croatian handball next month?

The Croatian handball team coach Lino Červar has published a list of 21 players for the upcoming representative gathering scheduled for October 22, 2017, reports 24 Sata on September 29, 2017.

The Croatian handball players will meet on October 22, 2017, at 17:00 in front of Hotel Panorama in Zagreb, and will remain together for representative duties until October 29, 2017.

The national team will be training in Zagreb, and as part of this representative week, they will play two friendly matches against Slovenia. The first game, scheduled for October 26, 2017, will be held at Stožica Hall in Ljubljana, while just two days later, on October 28, 2017, the Zagreb Arena will host the following match.

The 21 players included on the list are Ivan Stevanović (Kadetten Schaffhausen), Ivan Pešić (Meshkov Brest), Mirko Alilović (Telekom Veszprem Handball), Zlatko Horvat (PPD Zagreb), Ivan Čupić (Vardar), Manuel Štrlek (PGE Vive Kielce), Lovro Mihić (Orlen Wisla Plock), Marino Marić (MT Melsungen), Željko Musa (SC Magdeburg), Krešimir Kozina (Frisch Auf Göppingen), Igor Vori (PPD Zagreb), Jakov Gojun (Füchse Berlin), Marko Mamić (PGE Vive Kielce), Stipe Mandalinić (PPD Zagreb), Domagoj Duvnjak (THW Kiel), Igor Karačić (Vardar), Luka Cindrić (Vardar), Marko Kopljar (Füchse Berlin), Luka Stepančić (Paris-Saint Germain Handball), Luka Šebetić (Tremblay En France Handball), and Halil Jaganjac (Metalurg).

“This is the list of players for the upcoming representative week in October where we expect two friendly matches against Slovenia. Of course, this list may change over time because there is the possibility of injury. At the press conference next week, I will explain my choices and decisions, and I will say more about our expectations and announce the match against Slovenia,” said Červar for Mago di Umago, a portal for handball. 

The expert leadership, along with coach Červar, consists of coaches Hrvoje Horvat, Vlado Šola, Zlatko Saračević and Ninoslav Pavelić, fitness trainers Pero Kuterovac and Mirko Krolo, PhDs Tomislav Kukin and Krešimir Rotim, physiotherapists Damir Kajba, Filip Šimunović and Kristijan Kljaić, spokesperson Ivica Maraš, cameraman Zoran Ćulk and technical director Ivica Udovičić.
