Croatian Water Polo Team In The Semi-finals Of The Olympics!

Total Croatia News

Croatia beat Brazil 10-6 in the quarter-final match of the Olympic tournament

The Barracudas played an odd game versus the home team in the quarter-finals of the Olympic water polo tournament but managed to go through to the semi-finals at the end.

Croatian team started in a winning manner, and had a lead throughout the match, but it was not only the home team which was in the way but also the home supporters. The hero for Croatia was the goalkeeper Marko Bijač who saved 15 shots, and two of those were penalty shots by Brazilian players.

He was brilliant when it was needed the most, as Croatia was a man down for the first four minutes of the final quarter while leading by two goals. He stopped all the shots in that period, and the Barracudas managed to win at the end.

The opponent in the semi-finals will be the familiar team of Montenegro. We hope that on Thursday result will be the same as in the group stage when Croatia beat Montenegro.
