Croatia national team player Ivan Perišić has never hid his loyalty to his city. And not only does he have a motif of Omiš tattooed on his leg, but he now stars in the new Omiš tourism video, released today to encourage future bookings and visitors.
Croatia’s celebrated #4 rarely appears in commercials, but it’s a different story when his hometown is in the picture. The result is a new promotional video by Omiš called “Operation 4”.
The plot of the new video by the Omiš Tourist Board, directed by Danijel Bolić, is inspired by Ivan’s return to his hometown when euphoria erupts among all ages. The same feeling is shared by the majority of tourists who visit this unique Dalmatian town at the mouth of the Cetina River.
Where Ivan sat down for coffee or was last seen in Omiš is followed by everyone in the town. All Omiš locals are proud of the famous football player’s achievements, and everyone wants to immortalize their moment with him with a photo or an autograph if they run into him in town. This exact euphoria is conveyed in the video below.
Ivan has now introduced the charm of Omiš to the whole world – with its medieval fortress, beautiful beaches and old town, the Cetina River, rich gastronomic tradition and the Dalmatian spirit of Omiš locals. All this is known to the many tourists who visit Omiš every year, and a football great like Ivan Perišić will be an additional reason for all true football fans to include Omiš in their summer itineraries.
