TCN brings you the itinerary of Croatian athletes’ participation at the Olympics (all times are in Central European Time Zone)
Here is the schedule for Croatian athletes on August 8, 2016, at the Olympics:
14.00 Shooting
Petar Gorša will be at the shooting range in the 10 meters air rifle discipline. Half an hour later, Josip Glasnović and Giovanni Cernogoraz continue their qualification stage started yesterday. Glasnović is at the great fourth position after two series, and Cernogoraz is at the 18th place. The finals for 10 meters air rifle is scheduled for 17.00, and the finals of the trap for Cernogoraz and Glasnović should be around 20.00.
16.00 Tennis
Ana Konjuh will have a tough task in the second round of the singles female tennis tournament against the Spaniard Carla Suarez – Navarro.
Marin Čilić should be hitting the court some three hours later against Moldavian player Radu Albot.
18.00 Table Tennis
Andrej Gaćina is seeded 15th at the table tennis tournament, so he starts his competition in the third round of the Olympic tournament today against the British player Paul Drinkhall.
18.05 Sailing
Luka Mratović starts his competition in the surfboard discipline, racing three races today. Tonči Stipanović has first two races in Laser discipline, and Tina Mihelić two races in Laser Radial.
01.50 (Tuesday) Water Polo
The Barracudas are playing against Montenegro in the second round of the group stage of the Olympic Water Polo tournament. The match of the neighboring countries is always a tight one, and one mistake tends to make the difference. We hope that Croatian water polo players will provide us with more good news in the early morning.
