Croatian footballer Danijel Subašić sends his love to Zadar from Monaco…
Danijel Subašić, the starting goalkeeper for the Croatian national team and AS Monaco FC, has not forgotten about his first love: NK Zadar.
While Subašic is considered a big shot in the football world today, he’s made sure that his hometown and first football club are always in his thoughts, which has been made clear through his latest care package to the club.
The caption by NK Zadar reads: “A package of sports equipment came to us from Monte Carlo! A big thank you to Danijel Subašić!”
The 32-year-old is originally from Zadar, and began his professional footballer career at NK Zadar during the 2003-2004 season. After Zadar was relegated from the First League in the 2004-2005 season, Subašić became a first-team regular during the club’s time in the second division. Subašic then went on to play for Hajduk Split and began his career at AS Monaco in 2012. Subašić has been on the Croatian national team since 2009.
What a guy!
