U21 team is playing against Estonia while U19 team is hosting Belgium
It is a big day for Croatian Youth football, as both U21 and U19 teams play their qualification matches for European Championships on March 28, 2016. It is all looking good for both teams and today’s wins would be a big boost for them.
The U21 team is playing Estonia, team they have beaten in an away game 4-0 last September, so they are considered favorites in today’s match, kick off is at 18:00 CET in Zaprešić. Croatia is topping the group table and in order to stay there, they need a win today. Given that the team won against Spain last week, next matches against Sweden will be the crucial ones.
The U19 team is on the verge of qualifying for this year’s EURO, and they will need to avoid losing against Belgium today, 16:00 CET in Rijeka. Both teams are currently leading on the table, but thanks to the goal difference, Croatia is ahead, so even a draw in this game is enough for them to qualify for the final tournament.
