There are no longer any tickets available for the highly anticipated UEFA Nations League match between Croatia and Spain on Thursday at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb.
Two days before Croatia and Spain battle in their final round of Nations League, Maksimir stadium in Zagreb is completely sold out, the Croatian Football Federation announced on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
“The Croatian Football Federation thanks the fans for their great interest and support of the Vatreni,” reads the HNS press release on Tuesday evening.
Recall, on Monday, additional tickets for Maksimir stadium’s upper West and North stands were released, which were sold in less than 24 hours. Tickets first went on sale for the game at the end of October.

Thus, Croatia’s World Cup finalists will play in front of over 30,000 fans against La Furia Roja. Though Spain currently holds first place in the Nations League group, their fate in the competition is anything but secure. If Croatia goes on to win against Spain on Thursday, followed by another win against England away at Wembley on Sunday, Croatia will then become first in the group. This is crucial for the Croatia national team, as a better standing in the Nations League competition guarantees a top-seed in the upcoming draw for the Euro 2020 qualifications, which will be held next month.
Croatia and Spain will kick off on Thursday at 20:45, with a direct broadcast on Nova TV for those of you who can’t make it to the stadium.
Croatia will continue with preparations for their upcoming Nations League games today. Last night, the team attended the formal humanitarian dinner at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, organized by the Vatreno Srce Foundation, where donations were collected to equip the Children’s Pediatric Clinic in Zagreb and ‘Step into Life’, which helps to provide scholarships for schooling without proper parental care.
