After a dramatic victory against Denmark, Croatia has advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
After a sensational win and arguably the most nerve-racking game of the competition thus far, the Croatia national team overcame Denmark in a thrilling penalty shootout to advance to the quarterfinal of the World Cup where they will face Russia.
This was the biggest victory for Croatia in the last 20 years because, if you recall, Croatia has failed to break out of the knockout phase of a major competition in that long.
Just how incredible the players felt after the win could be seen in a video of their celebration from the bus, which was published to Instagram by vice-captain Vedran Ćorluka – and boy, are we happy the defender captured this moment for all of us to see.
Captain Luka Modrić, who had an incredible final few minutes of the match, could be heard screaming “Ajmoooooo” with the help of Šime Vrsaljko.
