What’s the latest at Uber?
June 2, 2018 – Over the past few weeks, Uber’s partners and drivers have been going through the process of aligning with the Law on Transport in Road Traffic. To give you enough notice so you won’t run into any surprises on your next trip, here are the positive changes Uber users can expect from today.
With the new Law and regulations, Uber remains an application that will enable you to travel around a city easily and conveniently, but the vehicles of Uber’s partners and drivers (independent companies and trades) have officially become taxi vehicles. This means that from Saturday, June 2, 2018, every vehicle driving through the Uber application in Croatia must be marked with a taxi label – a label on the roof and side with the inscription “Taxi”.
Additionally, Uber’s partners and drivers will now be able to use fast (yellow) lanes, which will ultimately help Uber move quicker. To further increase the quality and safety of Uber, vehicles can now only be a maximum of 7 years old.
Because of the new changes, Uber has asked all users for their patience, as waiting times may be a little longer in the next few weeks. However, Uber is working to keep the average wait time at the standard level of just a few minutes as soon as possible.
