The new concept between the two companies exploits the advantages of using different means of transport, and is applicable in Zagreb, Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik.

The Croatian startup Vollo from Zagreb provides better searches and a more favorable way of purchasing bus tickets. This week they launched their new cooperation with Uber, reports Poslovni.hr on 18 December 2016.

All Vollo users who have yet to register for Uber are entitled to free Uber transport to the bus station with travel from Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb and Zadar for an amount of up to 65 kuna.

This concept of intermodal transport that exploits the advantages of using different means of transport was also the guiding principle for the creation of partnerships between Uber and Vollo.

“This is the first step towards full intermodal transport where future technology platforms like Uber and Vollo, and autonomous vehicles and buses, completely change the existing concept of owning a car or traveling experience by public transport,” says Marko Jukic, founder of the Vollo service.

Powered by the Android application Vollo, when buying bus tickets on the Vollo platform, Uber will give new customers a free ride to the bus station for up to 65 kuna. In addition, all new Vollo users will receive a 35 kuna discount on ticket bookings, although this action applies to the cities of Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik.
