Which Croatian Campsites Won the Best?

Slovenian camping web portal www.avtokampi.si hosted the “6. Naj Camp Adria” where campers throughout the season vote for the best campsites. The selection included 200 camps, with 58 from Slovenia and 156 from Croatia. More than 34,000 votes from campers were collected, reports HRTurizam.

The award ceremony was held within the framework of the three-day Croatian Camping Congress in Sveti Martin na Muri, which was attended by more than 300 representatives of Croatian camping tourism, with lecturers and partners from Slovenia, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark.

 

In Croatia alone there are slightly more than 500 camps, and due to their size, they have been divided by region: Istria, Kvarner, Dalmatia and types: small, large, nudist and mixed.

New best camps (selection of Croatia`s Best Campsites): Camp Glavotok, Camp Vira, Camp Polidor

 

New best small camps (selection OK mini camps): Camp Lando Resort, Camp Karin, Camp Vinia, Camp Marta, Camp Sabljaci

 

Award for Innovation (Inovacamp 2016): Camp Aminess Park Mareda – an innovative concept of children’s entertainment, education, and accommodation, Jadranka camping d.o.o. – An innovative marketing project, Camp Čikat – an innovative concept of water area in the camp, Camp Lanterna – an innovative concept of a glamping village in the camp, Camp Slatina – an innovative concept of a program for dogs in the camp, Camp Simuni – The innovative concept of the organization of sporting events in the camp outside the main the season, Camping Krk and Polydor – an innovative concept of providing personalized and high quality services

 

Village for all (V4A) – a special certificate for camping available for people with special needs: Naturist Resort Solaris, Camping Njivice, Zablace Camp, Camp Čikat, Camp Stoja

 

This season was a record for camps, which is just more proof that camping is becoming increasingly popular. This season did not look promising at the start due to bad weather in June, but the improvement and high temperatures in July, August and September influenced excellent results.

 

In Croatia, camping guests increased by 2% this year.
