Two More Gold Decanter Medals in Istria

Total Croatia News

Updated on:

Croatian wines are truly having a year to remember at the Decanter World Wine Awards. According to yet unofficial information, ten Croatian wines have gold medals, several dozen have silver and bronze medals. It is especially important that, unlike previous Decanter ratings where the highest awards went to the sweet wines, in the last years medals and over 90 points are going to dry wines, especially those form indigenous varieties Graševina, Teran, Istrian Malvazija and Pošip.

The newest two went to the Prima Luce Malvazija from Višnjan in Istria made by Andre Cossetto and to Anđelini Domenico 2015, a coupage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the Pazin area.

Official results will be announced on May 29, with potentially more positive surprises in the meantime.
