Photo of the Day: A Lighthouse of Your Own

Built in 1872, this lighthouse sits atop the Grebeni chain of 11 rocks near Dubrovnik, currently unmanned. Its light can be seen 10 nautical miles away. In 2011 it was named as one of the six most beautiful lighthouses in the world by the British The Independent.

The operator has made the lighthouse available for rent, offering accommodation for up to 9 persons. But forget about staying here in the winter season, as it is off limits due to strong winds and waves.
