Red fruit on the nose, lovely and playful, depraved of the banality of perfume and intensity through a dry structure. Bolfan’s Rose smells refreshing, but serious. As a sip that strikes the palate much deeper than the usual pink wines.
This is how it presents in the mouth too. A bit into a juicy, but green apple. The aroma stays red, but the wine shows firmness and character I would love to try with a sea fish.
Immense summertime, not necessarily seasonal pleasure. Although maybe not a universally likeable rose, it represents a best-buy to acid freaks like me.
A dry rose wine with 12.5% alcohol and originating from the Zagorje-Međimurje region. Simple. Balanced. Harmonious. Just as it should be.
Bullseye!
“This is finely bitter” is the reaction of my wife who cannot fathom wine, especially wines with a minimum of acids.
I suppose, when you prepare and do things right, against all odds, the outcome can(not) surprise 🙂 Bravo for Bolfan!
