In the small Dalmatian village of Nadin, in the centre of Ravni Kotari, is the family winery Škaulj.

Alongside the family home a wine cellar and tasting room are located, where you can enjoy ecological wines Škaulj and other delicacies of the area. This winery had the honour to host the Swedish king and queen several years ago who loved their wines. An interesting fact is that Mercedes car buyers in Warsaw are also gifted with two bottles of Škaulj wine.

Yellow Muscat belongs to the large Muscat variety, considered by some one of the oldest group of vines in the world. Their common characteristic is a very pronounced aroma of grapes and wine.

The wine is clear, of a gentle yellow colour with greenish shine.

An especially aromatic wine with an entire palette of scents. Intertwined are flower scents with notes of fresh fruit, then hints of glazed fruit, rose scent and notes of tropical fruit.

The taste is sweet, very savoury and well balanced with other ingredients. Gently present are also tannins, which additionally rounds off the experience of this wine.

It had a strong body, while the taste and scent last a long time.

Retronasally there is a real dessert experience, while savour in the mouth commands another sip.

The wine is at its peak and will stay so for a certain time.

Recommendation is to serve the wine at 10 degrees Celsius with medium sweet desserts, and the wine can also be served as dessert itself and enjoyed without food.

When combining wine and sweet food, take care that the wine is always slightly sweeter than the dessert.

Price: around 75 kuna.
