June 7, 2023 – A Weekend to Enjoy! That’s how one could describe the Wine Festival, which will host its second edition on June 9th and 10th on the golden island of Krk, attracting the attention of island visitors interested in entertainment and Croatia’s wine offer.

The concept of the “IN VINO VERITAS” Festival was born through the collaboration of the Punta Tourist Board, with the conceptual and media support of wine promoter and journalist Sanja Muzaferija, and it successfully took place for the first time last year, receiving an enthusiastic response.

While last year’s Festival brought together winemakers from Ilok, Baranja, and Erdut, showcasing small family wineries from Eastern Croatia in the Kvarner region, this year’s 2nd edition of “IN VINO VERITAS” Festival focuses on the strong and intriguing forces of Kvarner winemakers, united under the association “Kvarner Wines.”

Within the heart of Punat on June 9th and 10th, fine wines from wineries such as Pavlomir from Novi Vinodolski, PZ Vrbnik, Vinarija Gospoja, Kuća vina Ivan Katunar, Estate Winery Katunar, and Šipun Winery, all from the nearby Vrbnik, will be tasted and enjoyed.

The face of this year’s Festival is Punat’s friend, an expert in wine and gastronomy, and a blogger – Domagoj Jakobović Ribafish – who last year completed and ceremoniously marked the end of his magnificent three-year project “Rok Otok” in Punat and will personally join the Festival on Friday.

For those who want to know more, a professional workshop on the indigenous varieties of Kvarner and the wines of this region, titled “Three Aces from Kvarner,” will be held on Saturday by Lucija Matijević, a sommelier and ambassador of Kvarner Wines, under the auspices of the Kvarner Tourist Board.

Both evenings will feature an entertaining program with performances by Elvis Stanić’s FRENCH TOUCH Accordion Trio (Elvis Stanić: accordion; Spartaco Črnjarić: guitar; Darko Mihelić: double bass & DJ The Funkabels), as well as the vocal groups “Rašketa” and “Tramontana.”

The Punat Tourist Board and the executive organizer of the Kvarner Wines Festival are organizing the sale of vouchers to domestic and foreign visitors, including wine-tasting glasses.

Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase the exhibited directly and tasted wines from the winemakers themselves.

If you want to savor the exquisite flavor of Croatian wines, look no further than Offering a wide range of wines from various winemakers, you can easily find what suits your palate.
