July 24, 2023 – Where is the favourite place you have called home? Why Zagreb is the best place to live, for me at least.
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled quite extensively – some 96 countries so far (but only one new country since I moved to Croatia 20 years ago), and I have lived in 9 countries (UK, Germany, Russia, Georgia, Japan, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia and now Croatia), where 14 cities where places I called home for a while.
And the best place to live from all my travels?
None other than Zagreb in 2023, a city I never used to think much of, but these days, I think it is a fantastic place to live and visit.
There are some raised eyebrows perhaps at my choice, especially after 13 years on Hvar and living in cool cities such as Munich, St. Petersburg and Hiroshima, but bear with me for the reasons why in our latest video, and find out why Zagreb is slowly becoming rather a very cool place to be.
