January the 18th, 2024 – The large Croatian chain Pevex is continuing its spread across the country, and once they reach a certain target – foreign expansion is on the cards.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the well known Croatian chain Pevex is currently planning to start constructing a sales centre in Gospić, and the future shopping area with associated infrastructure facilities will span almost 18,000 square metres. In the new Pevex branch, customers in Gospić will be able to find everything they need for their homes, gardens or hobbies, alongside the indispensable offer of consumer goods the chain has become known for.
“We’re continuing with our investment cycle and the expansion of our sales network. I’m extremely glad that we’re coming to Lika, which is a move that will complete the coverage of our sales centres in all Croatian regions. However, there’s still room for further expansion elsewhere in Croatia, and we have a lot of work ahead of us,” Pevex CEO Krešimir Bubalo stated.
The location of the new Pevex branch in Gospić will be at the intersection of the Gospić – Lički Osik road with the road leading to the toll booth of the A1 Zagreb – Dubrovnik motorway. The arrival of the large Croatian chain Pevex in Gospić is part of its investment cycle, which includes 40 sales centres nationwide, followed by a move to foreign markets.
To briefly recall, as part of the announced large investment cycle, the company plans to open a logistics and distribution centre in Jankomir near Zagreb this year, the work on which is ongoing and progressing at the desired pace.
Almost 13.5 million euros were poured into the construction of the warehouse, and the completion of the works is scheduled for mid-2024. The central warehouse of the Croatian chain Pevex in Jankomir will be equipped with solar panels for the production of electricity, which confirms the direction of the company, which is the development and application of ecological solutions aimed at preserving the environment and ensuring sustainable business and saving energy.
The Croatian chain Pevex currently has 29 sales centres nationwide, located in 25 cities.
