Torito Food Bar has opened its doors in the city center this week, and we can’t wait to try it!
You know when you walk through the city center nearly everyday and feel like everything you know is familiar? You come acorss the same restaurants, shoe shops and coffee places that are as usual as old friends. This was true until this past Wednesday evening on my walk home when I stumbled upon fluorescent blue lights and a crowd full of properly dressed patrons filling the alleyway of Domaldova. The grand opening of Torito, a modern tapas bar, has opened its doors to the public.
Torito is open daily from 8am to 2am, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast you can enjoy a bevy of fresh squeezed juices such as a “Good Morning” with apple and red grapefruit, or a “Beach Party-Tanning” with carrot, apple, cucumber and celery. They also serve smoothies such as the “Antioxidant” with grapefruit, apple, spinach, banana, orange juice and chia seeds, or a “Schwarzwald” that comes with spinach, almond milk, cherry, banana, cinnamon and cacao.
For breakfast eaters, patrons can choose from baked eggs with mushrooms, scrambled eggs with scallion and pancetta, or pumpernickel sandwiches to name a few. Torito’s also serves a list of breakfast combos.
For lunch and dinner, the options of charcuteries and cold and hot tapas are available. Everything from Japanese steamed buns to pickled oysters, and shellfish custard to crunchy pork are available as options.
Torito also has a full bar and extensive wine list.
