The Codeanywhere Shift Developer Conference this year will be held from June 1 to 2, 2017 at the Croatian National Theatre in Split. More than 1,500 domestic and foreign guests are expected to arrive.
The Codeanywhere Shift Developer Conference, the largest IT conference in South East Europe, brings in an increasing number of experts and local and foreign guests each year. Thanks to the five-year tradition of the Shift conference, the City of Split and Split-Dalmatia County have positioned themselves on the map of Europe as one of the information centers, reports Split.hr on March 21, 2017.
Throughout the two days of the conference, Shift becomes a meeting place for IT professionals, companies, domestic and foreign institutions, representatives of investment funds, students, and the media. The conference will be held this year at the Croatian National Theatre in Split, and it is expected to draw more than 1,500 visitors.
The organization of the entire event is credited to Codeanywhere, one of the most successful Croatian startups. Codeanywhere has developed cloud solutions for “programming on the fly”, which allows developers to share files, folders and run web development projects in real time. The company already has several local and foreign capital investment offices, with the HQ of the global IT industry in Palo Alto, California.
Over the last five years, Shift has hosted representatives from the largest IT companies in the world such as Facebook, Google, GitHub, Twitch and many others. This year, the conference can expect 20 new speakers and world-renowned IT experts including:
Christian Heilmann, a representative of Microsoft who has more than 20 years of experience in web technologies for the largest IT companies.
Jesper Noer, founder of BitBucket which provides free web tools for sharing source code among team members. Noer is also the director of one of the largest technology consulting firms; Accenture
Ike DeLorenzo, director of product platform for network applications – Heroku. Ike is otherwise a management expert in the field of design software products, product management and product marketing with a focus on mobile products and those “in the cloud”.
Una Kravets from DIGITALOCEAN, the second largest server company in the world in December 2015.
This year’s edition Shift conference will host representatives of Skype, including Eduard Kunze, head of software engineering.
For the first time, as part of the shift of the conference, practical workshops will be held. Sixteen workshops will be organized in parallel with the event, and visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and technologies in 2017. More information soon.
