After 140 performances of ”Mamma Mia!”, the ensemble Zagreb Comedy Theater will bring the famous musical to Spaladium Arena!
This May, the hits of Abba will be brought before a Split audience as “Mamma Mia!” is coming to town! The musical will be held at Spaladium Arena on May 5, 2017, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on April 23, 2017.
The musical, which has so far been seen by more than 54 million people in 40 countries, won their release in the Croatian language thanks to an adaptation by Drazen Bratulić.
“Drazen, in addition to great singing, has done a superb job translating the original text. So precise, so good, that the audience cannot even tell it is being sung in Croatian,” said Dani, part of Zagreb Comedy Theater.
The roles in the musical have been carefully selected from a group of famous local actors and performers who had to pass a rigorous and grueling audition. Among them are Ervin Baučić, Mila Elegović, Danijela Pintarić, Matko Knešaurek, Luka Nižetić, and John Čuić.
The cast regularly delights the audience with their infectious optimism in the acclaimed musical by Catherine Johnson, who wrote the musical in the tradition of the master-class works of London’s West End Theater.
Abba’s timeless pop repertoire has become the inspiration for the musical whose popularity has not waned over the years. You won’t want to miss a spectacle this good in Split!
