Dubrovnik Local in World Judo Championships in Chile!

More sporting success for the Pearl of the Adriatic!

As DuList reports on the 9th of August, 2017, Andjela Violic from Dubrovnik’s Judo Club (Judo Klub Dubrovnik 1966) will take part in the prestigious Croatian judo team at the World Judo Championships which will be held from today until the 13th of August in the Chilean capital of Santiago.

”It isn’t necessary to emphasise that the competition at the World Championships is exceptional and high-quality mental preparation is needed” stated Dean Ilic from the men’s national team.

2017 has been a very successful for Violic so far, among other things, she won bronze in the Croatian Cadets Championship and again at the European Cadet Cup in Fuengirola, Spain. In March, she took silver at the European Cadet Cup in Antalya, Turkey and became the Junior Champion of Croatia back in May.
