The agreement should lead to faster and better customer experience.
The Croatian Post (HP) and DHL will launch a new business cooperation in delivery of packages, it was announced on Monday from the Croatian Post, which pointed out that the cooperation would primarily include the so-called B2C (business to consumer) business operations in the digital environment, which is growing strongly throughout the European Union due to online trade expansion, reports N1 on September 4, 2017.
The contract between the Croatian Post and the German logistics company DHL was signed in late August in the German city of Bonn. With this cooperation, which includes an exclusive partnership, Croatian Post will become a part of DHL’s Parcel Connect network, which currently covers as many as 26 European countries, according to the press release.
The Croatian Post points out that it has been able to conclude this agreement after fulfilling strict quality and technology requirements necessary for the implementation of the project.
For the end users of the Croatian Post’s services, this cooperation will bring faster and higher quality service, as well as the ability to monitor shipments in real time online. For the Croatian Post, this cooperation also means increasing the quality of services on the postal market.
The Postal Service 2022 Development Strategy, in addition to the expansion of logistic capacities and entry into new market niches, is based on the development of core business and knowledge because, as a socially responsible company, Croatian Post has in its focus the affirmative corporate culture.
Croatian Post as it exists today was founded in 1999 when the previous state-owned company Croatian Post and Telecommunications split into Croatian Post and Croatian Telecommunications. Croatian Post has been functioning ever since as an independent company, continuing the tradition and continuity of postal activity in the territory of Croatia. Just like many postal services in other countries, it is facing a decline in the number of shipments, although online shopping has contributed to somewhat better results in the delivery of packages.
DHL is present in over 220 countries and territories across the globe, making it the most international company in the world. With a workforce exceeding 350,000 employees, DHL is part of the world’s leading postal and logistics company Deutsche Post DHL Group and encompasses the business units DHL Express, DHL Parcel, DHL eCommerce, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight and DHL Supply Chain.
