More good news for Croatia’s regional coastal airports.
The good flight news to Croatia’s Adriatic coast continued on March 15, 2016, as Aerocroatia reported that new start-up airline AWEX Croatia intends to commence operations with flights to Belgrade.
The airline, based in Rijeka, will connect the Serbian capital with direct flights to Rijeka, Zadar and the island of Brac, as well as one destination in Slovenia.
“This is the first time in a long time that Rijeka and Belgrade will be connected with a direct air service. In addition to improving connectivity between Serbia and Croatia, flights to Portorož will improve access to Slovenia,” a company spokesperson was quoted as saying on ExYuAviation.com
Details of the flights are expected to be released shortly.
