Ivica Todorić, currently believed to be abroad, has taken to his blog once again.
The former Agrokor boss and his blog have been making all the headlines lately, and it seems that on his blog piece written on the 15th of October, 2017, he has decided to take some of the heat off PM Andrej Plenković, Deputy PM Martina Dalić and Agrokor’s government appointed extraordinary commissioner, Ante Ramljak, at least temporarily.
Otherwise, these three people are among a handful of politically powerful individuals who keep finding themselves the subject of Todorić’s online assusations and often somewhat bizarre theories. More about that can be read by clicking here.
This time, HDZ’s Gordan Jandroković has found himself in the cyber firing line as Todorić asks just how he happens to know that DORH will launch an investigation into Agrokor. As usual, we bring you Ivica Todorić’s blog post, translated in full:
After yesterday’s meeting in the government, which was attended by the Prime Minister, Minister Davor Božinović, Martina Dalić, and the President of Parliament Gordan Jandroković, a statement was made by Mr. Jandroković which deeply undermined the pillars of the legal state.
Namely, Mr. Jandroković said that the parliamentary investigation commission [for Agrokor] would stop working [on its investigation of Agrokor] when DORH initiates its [own] investigation.
How does Jandroković know that DORH is going to initiate an investigation? Has he got information that he shouldn’t have [access to]? I don’t want to believe that the topic of yesterday’s meeting in the government was the conduct of DORH, but Jandroković’s statement, unfortunately, denies me [the desire to believe] that.
It’s unbelievable that people from executive and legislative authorities are commenting on and announcing how independent judiciary institutions should act. The model is obviously clear – with the media line and the irresponsible statements of the highest officials of the government and the parliament, an atmosphere of conviction without trial has been created, in which they’re the executors, the prosecutors, and the judges. The aim is clear – to conceal their own crime which has been permitted by the [passing of the] unconstitutional Lex Agrokor (law), but, despite this, the truth will see the light of day, and those responsible from both the government and Agrokor’s extraordinary administration who are involved in dishonourable actions, will have to respond.
