The first Courtyard by Marriott, the brand of Marriott International, Inc. a global leader with more than 6,500 accommodation facilities in more than 127 countries, will open in the highest building in Croatia – the Westgate Tower, in the summer of 2019.
Croatia has long been among the most desirable Mediterranean destinations, and its second-largest city of Split attracts tourists from all over the world with its fascinating, 1700-year-old historical heritage under UNESCO protection, pebble beaches, crystal blue sea and abundance of resources.
The “Gate of Split” project by the investor of Westgate Tower Ltd. consists of two buildings, the first of which consists of a ground floor and 12 storeys. The second tower in which the first Courtyard by Marriott will be located, which is still under construction, consists of a ground floor and 27 floors, and with a total height of 115 meters it will become the tallest building in Croatia, which will make the hotel itself an exceptional tourist attraction. The towers are of clear, crystalline shape, and a combination of glass and white verticals, the contrasting blue horizon of the Kastela bay in the background leave an impression of unobtrusive monumentality.
The Courtyard by Marriott, a world-renowned business brand of Marriott International, will be located on the upper floors, from 16 to 26, allowing guests a spectacular view of the city, and because of the specific shape of the building, each of the 190 rooms and 4 suites will have a view to the sea. With regard to market orientation for the business community, the hotel will be well equipped with conference facilities on a separate floor and the associated wellness, gym, restaurant and bar.

The entire project whose total value (both towers) exceeds 600 million kunas, along with the well-known hotel brand, will bring extraordinary added value to the entire city and region.
