Farmers and others in the agricultural field now have more money for equipment and machinery.
As Miroslav Kuskunovic/Agrobiz/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 25th of August, 2018, in the first seven months of this year, as many as 729 brand new tractors have been sold across the Republic of Croatia.
According to the recorded data of the Association of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Suppliers in Croatia, this market is continuing with a positive trend, further recovery, and is gradually approaching record years when sales figures in the period of seven months reached more than 1000 tractors.
The latest figures show that 513 tractors were sold in the first seven months of 2018 which means that this year alone so far, as many as 216 new tractors more have been sold.
“This recovery owes itself first of all to the better spending of funds from European Union funds, as well as good years for agricultural producers who have managed to free part of the money for the re-doing of agricultural machinery through good prices for their products and regular support payments”, the aforementioned Association said in a statement.
Croatia also experienced record tractor sales in the firsr seven months of 2009 (1,122 units). Thereafter, stagnation and an unfortunate drop in the market followed, and sales fell mostly back in 2014 when just 152 new tractors were sold.
