Croatia Airlines Resumes Flights from Osijek to Split and Dubrovnik, Zagreb-Brac Line Soon

Croatian Aviation reports that the Croatian national airline has resumed domestic flights from Osijek to Split and Dubrovnik. Regular flights between Zagreb and Brac are expected to be re-established soon.

The Split – Osijek – Split line has been in operation since Sunday, April 11. The line will continue to operate once a week throughout May, also on Sundays.

The Dubrovnik – Osijek – Dubrovnik line has been in operation since April 19, also once a week, every Monday. Flights will also be available in May on the same day.

The only domestic seasonal line on which traffic has not yet been renewed is the line between Zagreb and Brač. Croatia Airlines plans to restart this route from Saturday, May 8, once a week, on Saturdays. The introduction of the second weekly flight, every Tuesday, is expected in early June.

Croatia Airlines still operates regular flights on domestic routes from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar, and Pula, while Trade Air operates domestic routes from Osijek Airport.

Furthermore, Russian airline Nordwind, a low-cost airline based in Moscow, made its first flight on a new route to Pula Airport.

The 14-year-old aircraft type A321-231 (reg. Marked VP-BHN) landed at Pula Airport on Wednesday at 4:20 pm, after a 3-hour flight from Moscow.

This is the first flight of this Russian low-cost airline to Pula Airport, which used a larger aircraft for the first flight than planned, with a capacity of 220 seats. The line will continue to operate once a week, every Wednesday, with afternoon arrivals and departures from Pula.

The same airline plans to launch a regular route between Moscow and Zagreb soon. Although the flights were announced in October, and then at the beginning of this year, they have not yet operated on this line. 

The first flight on the new route to Zagreb has been announced for April 30, and from the beginning of May, two flights a week have been announced, on Mondays and Fridays.

In addition to Pula and Zagreb, a new line to Dubrovnik Airport has been announced, but only from the beginning of June, also once a week. 

Along with S7 and Aeroflot, this is the third Russian airline to operate regular international traffic between Russia and Croatia this summer.
