The traditional pottery from Potravlje has had the status of immaterial cultural heritage since 2013 and was nominated by the Ministry of Culture of Croatia for UNESCO protection. Today, the art of making this traditional pottery is preserved only in two families – Jure Knezović, where sons Ivan and Pile make the pots, and Jurina’s brother Dusan Knezović in the village of Potravlje in the Hrvace municipality. It is of utmost importance to preserve this segment of traditional culture and to ensure the craft continues over time by passing down the skills to the younger generations. With this aim in mind, the Sinj Tourist Board, with the support of the Ministry of Croatia, hosted workshops focused on the traditional pottery making from Potravlje.

The gold medal in this category went to the Koprivnica Tourist Board for their “Renaissance festival”, while the silver went to the Split Tourist Board for “Šotobraco Split”.

The prizes were awarded to the tourist communities, institutions, companies, crafts, and others for the best tourism product characterized by the quality and creative interpretation of the cultural and historical heritage.
