The Sinj Majorettes have once again climbed to the top of Europe!
At the 21st European Championship of majorette dances which were held last weekend in the Dutch city of Almere, the Sinj Majorettes were crowned European champions once again!
This is the tenth year in a row that the Sinj Majorettes have won the competition. It is also the year they celebrate 20 years of the association’s existence.
This time, the Sinj Majorettes became the European champions in the premier category for “Parade Groups” of seniors and traditional majorette juniors. In the categories of singles and duets, the majorettes from Sinj placed in the top six. Lucija Grgić won the 4th place as the youngest solo along with Sara Bogdan and Dora Runje for the duo juniors. Dora Runje won 6th place in the solo juniors as well.
The European Championship was attended by the majorette groups of 14 European countries. The national team of Croatia, apart from the Sinj Majorettes, was also represented by majorettes from Split, Solin, Seget, Kaštela, Požega, Koprivnica, Ludbreg, Donji Kraljevac, Mursko Središće and Goričan who won 7 gold, six silver and one bronze medal for Croatia.
