The famous pop-up dinner event returns to Croatia in June
After the event held in December 2016 in Zagreb, the Gypsy Table will see its second Croatian edition in Dubrovnik on 9 June, reports Dubrovnik Portal. This time, the local professionals Damir Šarić and Lucija Tomašić will be joined by renowned chefs from Miami and Barcelona to take you on a gourmet journey to the Carribean.
The location is always kept secret until the day before the event, but one thing is certain – it’s never ordinary. The menu gets the same level of attention, as none of the meals are ever repeated more than once; every edition of the Gypsy Table has a new creative theme and different guest chefs.
This edition’s theme perfectly coincides with the preferences of its founder and manager Richard Gruica, who was born on Jamaica and specialises in the Carribean and fusion cuisines. He’ll be joined by Cindy Hutson from Miami, one of the best chefs in the world when it comes to Carribean cuisine, and Joel Serra, one of the most important influencers of the global gastronomy scene. The event in Dubrovnik will be a unique opportunity to taste a blend of two different cuisines, as the chefs are planning to introduce innovative flavours to unite the Adriatic and the tropics. Guests can expect a dinner with multiple courses, accompanied by locally produced craft beer, cocktails, good music and exceptionable ambient. The evening doesn’t end with dessert – the party will continue at another secret location in the city!
The Gypsy Table always donates part of the profits to charity; this time, they will support the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the City Hospital Dubrovnik.
You can book your seat at the table here at 75 euro per person, or 140 euro if you want to bring your +1 along. As the tickets are always sold out days before the event, you might want to hurry. Bon appétit!
