Get ready for the opening of the biggest bookstore in the centre of the city.
If you’ve been slightly depressed that the huge space in Bogovićeva, formerly Profil Megastore is now empty and had no idea where to get your books and paper supplies from, you’ll be happy to know that a new bookstore will take its place soon – Hoću knjigu Megastore.
As Poslovni dnevnik reported in May, the new owners are young entrepreneurs Zvonko and Jurica Ćubrić and Matija Fojs, who will be taking over several former Algoritam bookstores across Croatia. Their other Zagreb bookstores will be located in shopping malls – Arena Centar and City Center One West. They want to restore the Megastore in Bogovićeva to its former glory and make it a place where children can have fun and people can stop by for a cup of coffee and a good book.
Good news is that all former employees can continue working at the new bookstore. 20-30 percent of the space will be dedicated to stationery and office supplies and the rest will be dedicated, as expected, to books.
It gets better – the opening of the new bookstore will last not one, not two, but three days – November 2 – 4.
Bookhunt – all three days
Do you like treasure hunts? Sure you do, who doesn’t. Well, look for clues on all three opening days and you can win books by Dan Brown, Rupi Kaur, or Favillia and Francesca Cavallo.
On the weekend before the opening, promotional flyers will be handed out across the centre, so you can get one of the following discounts (valid November 2 – 4, valid only for books):
10% off when you buy your first book
20% off when you buy two books or more
