After harvesting lavender on the top of the island at 6am last week, the searing heat was relieved by the aircon in the Jeep, as we descending to Pitve at 9am. The road was rough, the descent steep, but coming in the other direction – cyclists. Determined, motivated and soon to be rewarded with some of the most magnificent views in all Europe, as reward for their efforts.
LIving in Jelsa all these years, one of the constant images throughout the pre, post and peak season has been the sight of cycling groups descending on the main square for a coffee or ice cream as part of their daily tour organised by the team at Hvar Life, whose stylish attire and logo is becoming increasingly prevalent over the years.
