Stari Grad Celebrates Children this Week!

Children’s Week in Stari Grad will take place from October 2 – October 8, 2017, with events and social gatherings for children each day.

If you’re in Stari Grad this week with your kids, you’ve picked the perfect time. 

For the next week, the 2,400-year-old town of Stari Grad will honor children with a program full of events and activities under the umbrella of Children’s Week! 

Calling all parents, teachers, and educators, here’s a look at what you and your kids can enjoy over the next few days. 

Monday, October 2, 2017: Music room Paiz organizes “Children’s Vinyl Tales” at 18:00 

Tuesday, October 3, 2017: At the City Library of Stari Grad, librarian Vini Golubicic will read to children from 17:00 to 18:00

Wednesday, October 4, 2017: At the NK Jadran playground, coach Josip Jakelic will have children socialize with sports from 16:30 to 17:30

Thursday, October 5, 2017: At the City Library of Stari Grad, another reading will be held by librarian Vini Golubicic from 17:00 to 18:00

Friday, October 6, 2017: At the playground of NK Jadran, there will be an organized football training for children from 16:00. The session will be conducted by coach Marino Dužević

Saturday, October 7, 2017: At Vorba park from 10:00 to 12:00, “Homo u Vorba” will be held where children will paint and play at the new children’s playground

From 16:00, there will be a gathering for children at DVD Stari Grad.

Sunday, October 8, 2017: A children’s excursion from Likorova Kuća and Purkin Kuk (details coming soon)

All children are invited to join in on the fun!

A big thanks to everyone involved including the Stari Grad Library, Music Room Paiz, NK Jadran (Marino Dužević), the firefighters of Stari Grad, Swimming Club “For”, and the City Initiatives “For Our Children“ and ”Biking Through Heritage”.
