40th Anniversary of “Imotska Sila” Has Begun

The program “Imotska sila” has begun, and as usual there are many interesting events. This year’s program lasts from July 5 to August 10, with the organizers expecting many visitors through the whole of the event.

In Imotski, at the church of Our Lady of the Angels on Topan, has opened the 40th anniversary of “Imotska sila”, a cultural event that has one of the longest traditions in this region of Dalmatia.

 

The program was opened by  Grgo Nikolic, who expressed his gratitude and happiness that this festival can exist, and that this year should be one of the best. The opening event included a performance of cultural union “Vlaho Bukovac” from Split, whom operate through various forms of artistic expression. For the music program, Klapa Kaše from Dubrovnik held a celebratory performance.

 

This year’s program will include a breadth of different forms of artistic expressions, including theater performances, concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, folklore dance performances and many others.

 

As always, all events are free.
