2Cellos are set to return to Croatia next spring for two highly anticipated homecoming shows in the Croatian and Dalmatian capital.
While any show of the 2Cellos is one not to be missed, there is always something a bit more memorable when we can enjoy the Croatian cello virtuosos in their home country. And next spring, the people of Split and Zagreb will be able to do just that.
Stjepan Hauser and Luka Šulić, the two behind the wildly popular 2Cellos, will hold two concerts in Croatia on March 16, 2018, at the Spaladium Arena in Split, and on March 23, 2018, at the Zagreb Arena, in conjunction with RTL, as part of their international tour ”Score”.
“Score”, the latest 2Cellos album which saw the light in March this year, propelled Hauser and Šulić to embark on a world tour where they traveled through Europe and Japan. From January 2018, the duo will continue to perform throughout the United States.
The album “Score” was announced earlier this year with the single “Medley”, the immensely popular theme song from TV series Game of Thrones. The album also includes well-known film compositions including ”My Heart Will Go On” from blockbuster hit Titanic, “For the Love of a Princess” from Braveheart, “May It Be” from Lord of the Rings, “Now We Are Free” from Gladiator, “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and many others.
This year, the duo released music videos coupled with their singles filmed in many attractive locations across Croatia. The last music video the duo released for the song ”Love Story” was recorded in Split – perhaps a precursor for their first major concert in the Dalmatian capital in years? If you recall, the 2Cellos have performed in Split only once, and that was back in 2012 on the famous waterfront promenade, the Riva.
The people of Zagreb, on the other hand, can still hear the sounds of last year’s concert at Tomislavac, where more than 50,000 people gathered for Croatia’s favorite pair.
Stjepan Hauser and Luka Šulić have been the best promotion of Croatia through their videos displayed all over the world for years. The homecoming concerts of this fantastic duo are not to be missed.
Tickets are on sale for both shows here.
