Marin Čilić ties the knot with his longtime lover in Cavat and Dubrovnik!
Croatia’s best tennis player Marin Čilić (29) married the love of his life, Kristina Milkovic (28), at the St. Nicholas church in Cavtat. Guests attended the celebration from over the world, and the bride and groom arrived at the ceremony in white Tesla’s electric cars, reports 24 Sata on April 28, 2018.
The list of famous guests included Marin’s rivals on the tennis court, Roger Federer (36) and Andy Roddick (35), though they did not attend the church ceremony and came only for the reception. Čilić’s best man was his brother, Mile.
Cavtat citizens commented that Kristina’s house was glittering with decorations on the terrace and in the yard, and the first guests began arriving in Cavtat after 14:00.
After the church ceremony, we learned that the newly married couple took their guests to Dubrovnik’s Revelin fortress for the reception. A performance by Gibonni would mark their first dance as newlyweds, while all of the guests enjoyed a live wedding band.
Marin Čilić met Kristina, a psychologist and politologist, at the 2008 Davis Cup in Dubrovnik where she worked as a hostess. Two years later, Kristina was named the sexiest woman in Dubrovnik, according to the choice of local magazine readers. There were 25 girls in the competition, including Playboy bunny Leona Rajačić. Kristina was also the first runner-up of the Miss Alpe Adria competition in 2005.
Soon after Marin and Kristina met, their friendship turned to love, and they have been inseparable ever since. Kristina follows Marin to all of his tennis tournaments, and Marin calls Kristina his good luck charm. Marin asked Kristina to marry him last July and the wedding was planned in strict secrecy.
