Ines Tričković will take to Lokrum to introduce the public to Lillibelle!
After a successful concert last year at Carnegie Hall’s repertoire, Ines Tričkovic will return to her native Dubrovnik to perform on the beautiful island of Lokrum. This year she has prepared Dubrovnik locals and visitors a cabaret-style performance that is rarely seen in Dubrovnik. The concert will take place on Wednesday, the 30th of August, beginning at 21:00.
Ines wrote the entire script of the cabaret “Lilibelle” herself. It’s a love story about Lilibelle the singer who falls madly love in Paris with an American soldier called Johnny, but Johnny disappears. Deeply in love, Lilibelle packs her suitcase and enters into the adventure of a lifetime seeking her beloved Johnny.
Through her journey and through Ines, Lilibelle visits Paris, Berlin, Buenos Aires, St. Louis, New York and Shanghai, performing music classics in English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese language.
”I want to offer something new to the City and its visitors every year. My life and musical route is already so diverse, and it’s a joy to share it with the audience in my hometown. This year’s choice ended up being cabaret, because it’s not often performed in Dubrovnik, and I think it will be interesting for people to hear the singing in Chinese. I’m looking forward to a great concert.”
