Dubrovnik: Petar Grašo to Perform in Babin Kuk!

Lauren Simmonds

One of the most respected and accomplished performers in the region is set to delight crowds in Dubrovnik.

As DuList reports on the 8th of August, 2017, Petar Grašo is coming to the Pearl of the Adriatic this month!

The talented Split born singer, songwriter and performer is set to perform his biggest hits to bring a pop of romance to the Solitudo Camp in Babin Kuk and entertain the audience on the 11th of August at 21:00.

The beginnings of Grašo’s musical prominence started back in 1995 when Oliver Dragojević, otherwise one of Croatia’s most valued and highly respected singers, performed one of his songs called ”Boginja” (Goddess). The following year, he won the Zadarfest music festival in the Dalmatian city of Zadar with his song “Trebam nekoga” (I need someone), a performance which saw him propelled into much wider recognition and fame within the country and the region. Already fairly well known, Grašo shot to international fame after coming second in Croatia’s qualifying competition for 1997’s Eurovision Song Contest. Grašo is now more than fully established and has been a sought-after singer and songwriter for more than two decades.

In the last few years the charismatic 41 year old has released four regional megahits and has sold out numerous concerts worldwide. While it is difficult to highlight just a few songs from the extremely rich career of such a talented individual, some of the most noteworthy are ”Moje Zlato” (My Gold) and ”Uvi(je)k Isti” (Always the Same).

If you want to see the exceptionally talented performer live, tickets at a pre-sale price of 70kn and 90kn on the day of the concert can be purchased at Solitudo Camp’s reception druring working hours (07:00 – 22:00).
